Right as the global pandemic hit the United States companies with the ability switched to remote work. In the matter of a week, employees were downloading Zoom and Slack in order to adjust their communications. Many have struggled with this adjustment (hello global pandemic), but I’ll be honest I know remote work isn’t for everyone, even in the best conditions.

Working virtually finds people in a lot of different ways. Sometimes companies stumble on the option by mistake, some with clear intentions, and others are somewhere in between. As you can guess not every industry…

Hello everyone, Happy Pride Month and Happy June!

Today is the last day of 25 days of Content! When I started this, it was because I knew I wanted to start writing more again. I value words and I like being able to share my thoughts and feelings with other people.

The other idea of this writing challenge was to not force anything. A majority of what you read in #25DaysofContent are thoughts I have while I’m working, writing, or just living my life. And oddly enough, some of my best ideas happen when I’m doing something unrelated.

Today, I’m…

Here we are, close to the end of this writing challenge. When I talk about being a writer, it reminds me that I’m a reader at my core. I’m someone who loves a good story and this is fundamental to who I am as a person.

Tomorrow, I have more books coming in the mail. I’m excited about prioritizing my reading again. I want to incorporate fiction and non-fiction (if you have any book recs, let me know). The more I read, the more I feel like myself and I’m 1000% leaning into this.

Did I mention I’m riffing this…

Someone who is much wiser and more talented than I am mentioned how they were having difficulties with their schedule. Even now, remote work, in addition to other adult responsibilities can be overwhelming. There was a time when I was very focused during the pandemic. After thinking about it, I realized my workouts made a huge difference in my life.

When I started working out I had small goals, one was to decrease my back pain. Here I was early twenties, with a fancier mattress, and horrible back pain. With no other visible issues, I decided to start working out…

Here’s the thing about time during a pandemic, it’s hard for me to tell how much time has gone by. Even things about these 22 days, I’m not sure if it felt like 22 days. This is the reason why I’m so insistent about using my planner, without my Passion Planner I’d be lost.

But today, I traveled the most I have the entire pandemic (granted it wasn’t super far) and I saw so many trees. Seeing trees in different cities was refreshing. …

So, when I started this challenge, I wasn’t looking at the calendar at all. As a freelancer, I typically work holidays and don’t think about many of them. Again, this…

I’m on the brink of 25, so I’m officially considering myself older and wiser. Which got me thinking about my own intellect or lack thereof. I’ve never felt like I was brilliant, but I know I’ve had my creative moments. I feel like the trick is trying new things and then failing at them.

But, when I say fail, I mean fail strategically. When I have an unhappy client or get passed for an opportunity, I like to ask for feedback. I don’t always do this, however, when I do, I’m able to learn how to move forward. The thing…

I’ll start with a couple of unusual statements to let you know how my 2020 and also now 2021 are going.

  1. My physical and mental health significantly improved in 2020
  2. I made more money in 2020 than I ever had before
  3. I’m on track to increase my income again
  4. I had several opportunities I never dreamed of in 2020

I don’t say this to brag or to boast, I say it to show you how odd the world can be. Like a majority of the world, COVID-19 has impacted me in a way I never expected. I’ve struggled, but more…

As I stood at my grad fair I explained “ I would keep taking classes if I could afford to”. My fellow student thought I was kidding, but I wasn’t and I still feel that way today. I love learning and even when college was difficult I embraced the process. For example, accounting was always something I didn’t understand. However, after hours spent in my professor’s office hours, my mindset shifted. I understood accounting. My professor was patient and I also think he saw my willingness to learn. …

One year, on my birthday, my mother and I got lost on the way to my party. The birthday party was at one of the biggest parks in the city and we couldn’t find anyone. If it was 2021, we could’ve just called using a cellphone. But since it was 2001, we just wandered around until we found my entire family.

The world has changed so much since I was a little kid. I know we’ve started talking about the cons of the internet, but I can’t help but think about the pros. Over the last couple of years, a…
